Re: Carpeting a Devon pop top roof

Is there any point as there is a mass of canvas that will be cold. Good duvet and snuggle up!! Waste of time and money in my humble opinion.

Re: Brakes going weird

So little embarrassed didn’t realise the rear wheels were hydraulic too. It’s leaking from there. Is there a safety thing for the front and rear wheels? Ie will front brakes still work but back won’t? Or will all fluid drain from the rear meaning I have no brackets? 85 Devon moonraker with a super V...

Brakes going weird

Hihi Brakes went weird today. Only working half way down. Feels like the the brake cylinder is only working halfway or not returning fully. Is that a thing with a hydraulic brake system? Was fine last night but a little low on brake fluid that I topped up but no joy. Still have brakes but only half?...

Grind a channel partly down the side so you can bleed it without taking out the plug. Works a treat.

Re: Damaged pop-top roof - newbie looking for advice!

Strength will be affected but only slightly. Personally I would heavily sand off both sides of the roof and all of gel coat and 6-10 inches either side. Then clean it. Dig out any loose then using resin and fibreglass mat neatly repack the crack the over lay to bond. Sand it off when dry and clean i...

Hub caps ???

What’s the thoughts, old hub caps and re Crome them or buy stainless new ones? My old ones are not that bad but just a bit of surface rust after a few days after washing. Don’t want to spray them I think

Re: Replacing Pop Top Hinges

I found its easier if you take the rams off as then it will sit right as you mark out for new ones. Can you not just make a bigger plate/washers to fit inside to spred the load on the fibre glass roof?

Before the gurus answer they will need a few Muppets like me to suggest a few questions to diagnose the true dilemma that you are going through. Dare I say is there a spark? And you have fuel? And everything you did is up tight?

Solar controller recommendations

Because, unless they have updated , they don’t do a true dual battery mppt ? I’m guessing    My one that I got from them a few years ago does both? Two separate outlets one main battery, (leisure battery) and one for the starter? Unless I’m missing something? And I must say they were really helpful...
