Re: New stretch lining over old?

Also the 4way stretch carpet will show all the lumps and bumps of what's its laid onto.
Did mine recently and the old stuff came off easily as did the old glue with a scraper.
Not too hard a job to put the new carpet on, just take your time and use a good quality glue.

Re: Electrolux fridge - not cooling

Only realised the next time I went camping and removed the offending article, a shopping bag. The van i have now has a co...

Re: Valve Springs

I think your biggest problem is using a JR head. Looks like they were made for the American market. You could ask on samba to see if there are any suppliers in the
Would it not be easier to put another jx head on though?

Re: Emissions not failure

Also try changing oil and filters (air + oil) and make sure engine is nice and warm before mot..
See if the garage will ease off on the revs. In uk is says not to rev violently, my mot guy says that's open to interpretation.

Re: Not starting, could the horn issue be contributing to this?

How long ago was it last started?
Fuel might have drained from pump so might need priming.
Also make sure all the earth's are nice and clean particularly the statermotor one.
Check glow plug fuse (long metal strip) in black box in engine compartment.

Re: Original radio wesfalia joker

Having a delve on Google it looks like two types might have been fitted. Radios were optional but the most likely ones were a Blaupunkt SC89A which looks like a budget model possibly fitted in earlier vans. The other is a Blaupunkt Heidelberg. Similar to this maybe https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/blau...
