Re: Front brake disc splash plate

Did mine yesterday, hex bolts one side and crosshead screwdriver the other. The crossheads were so badly corroded, I ended up having to use a chisel to get them started. Once moving the screwdriver just about had enough to get hold of to undo them.

Could be absolutely anything, if no joy after 4 years, you're going to have to follow the wiring and see where it leads - good luck :ok

Re: Repair plugs or spare?

My mate had a 1 series BM and he fitted non-run flats when originals wore out. He could never put his finger on why it felt different until he switched back to run flats at next change. He said it handled much better on the run flats, and his research showed up that BM tune the suspension to run fl...

Re: One of many questions

If you have 2 lap belts in the back and presumably single passenger seat up front, then technically you can carry 3 passengers, BUT......

How many seats are listed on the V5 - mine lists 7 seats (including driver), so as long as I have sufficient seating and belts, I can carry 6 passengers.

Re: Repair plugs or spare?

I would want a spare. Worst case scenario, Cold , rainy Sunday at 4:55, and you get a side wall blow out. All of the plugs and cans of tyre goop won't help, but a spare tyre will. Just my personal opinion, weight up your own pros/cons Cold & rainy? that calls for breakdown services while we sta...

Re: Repair plugs or spare?

We own a 3 series BMW and a BMW Mini, both of which have run flats and we hate them. When it's time for new, both cars will be fitted with standard tyres and a can of tyre weld.

That's how Keif already rolls :ok

If already changing calipers and hoses, why not replace the metal pipes too. If the unions are past it now, better to replace now.

You have all of the rights, not the seller

My wife manages online car parts shops, so she has to keep up with the latest regulations and is constantly having to accept goods back.
