Re: gearbox/ linkage issues!!!
Big thanks to Aiden for the part, put it in last night, took the time to grease all the linkage parts too! now it goes into all gears very smoothly! Had to change the plastic ball part too as the old shaft had eaten all the grooves out of that too!

Re: gearbox/ linkage issues!!!
Thanks for that, I had thought about welding it, Just a pain if I do need to take it off again! I suppose its not too bad as it would be easy to cut once the gear box was out anyway. Can I get away with a couple of small welds or all the weay round? Ps Aiden where can I get the selector shaft from i...

Hi everyone, had a very eventful trip back from france over the weekend! 200 miles from Calais I got stuck in third gear! I had had this problem before so I knew the ball was popping out of the cup in the linkage. I had only replaced these in the last couple of months including all the bushes too. I...

Rear brake adjustment
What am I doing wrong! Changed shoes yesterday, wound adjuster to lock the drums then backed it off a little so drum rotates with a slight rubbing noise, did the same both sides. Then pulled the handbrake several times to centre the shoes. Went for a slow drive! Hardly any brake, I had to pump the p...

cup and ball on gear linkage
Right I am about to replace mine and the bush that holds it in place as it keeps popping out and sticking in most gears. I have read you need to put the washers that hold the ball on to the gear selection pin in the right place and in the right order ....which is?

Re: Power steering pipe
Thanks for the info guys.. Don't suppose any of you know the internal diameter of the washers I need. Otherwise I need to take the bolt out and drain the fluid before I go to work, and I don't fancy that!

Re: Power steering pipe
Right put the pipe on tonight and I have a leak! It's coming from where the banjo bolts to the pump. Can anyone confirm if there should be any copper washers or not. As mine did not have any when I took it off?
