Re: How reliable are the fuel tank gauge sender units
Thanks for your replies, it wasn't a problem as I usually run on LPG but the nearest supply to me is now 25 miles away and has been out of order now for 2 months the nearest to our caravan is only open on week days so if I can't stay until Monday then I'm having to run on petrol there and back ...

How reliable are the fuel tank gauge sender units
Hi, as per post title, I just wondered from those with more experience of tank replacement whether the tank sender units are generally reliable or do the 'tracks' wear out. My gauge only reads half full when filled ( in the days pre panic ) and would rather avoid dropping the tank to check the sende...

Re: Gowesty upper door lip seal - alternative?
The Heritage seal is long enough to do both sides, also re wind/road noise are your step rubbers in place properly, mine were old and hardened to the point where they would not clip into the holes. I have just fitted new ones and with the holes properly sealed the noise has reduced

Re: Gas Level Indicator
If you are using blue butane or red propane Not 'Camping gas' you can get a 'Gaslow' regulator with a pressure gauge, easy peasy, open cupboard, look at gauge and close cupboard. It is also good for keeping a check for any gas leaks, turn bottle off and keep an eye on the gauge to make sure that the...

Re: What's this?
yep just the hole plug, not needed unless you intend to poke your finger in the hole with the engine running, or have a 'thing' about as left the factory. Re the missing air filter hose, not generally needed in the uk climate.

Re: Attaching an awning to T25 high to - help!
Always prefered a pole and clamping into the gutter with a drive away awning, seemed more forgiving when reconnecting after being off for the day.
P.S. they all seem to snag on the sliding door at the rear,so be careful when opening the slider not to rip the awning

Re: Engine flooding with fuel. DJ2.1 1989 Auto. Broken down in roadside
don't want to confuse the post, please transfer this if you wish, but has anyone used the Digifant system on a DJ? Pro's, con's and don't be silly thoughts. Yes. Works fine - maybe not quite as powerful but a little more economical. Digifant is closed loop so will (to an extent) regulate fuelling a...

Re: Hello and Help..!!
if it is an 87 van then someone has fitted an earlier engine and cooling system,( cooling system changed in 1985) I seem to remember seeing a DF engine with a double vac distributor so this could be your lack of oomph issue
