stevew,
what/where is this bush you refer to?

I have a 1990 1.6TD syncro with a less than perfect starter. Will it have this bush, please?

thanks

I fitted seatbelts in a syncro van many years ago when doing a camper conversion. I welded the nuts to the spreader plates and taped them to the end of a metal bar. Working from the wheel arch and after easing out the retaining mesh, I was able to get in between the sound insulation material and the...

My Old Motors

Can anyone shed any light on the current whereabouts of three syncros I used to own between 1989 & 1998?

The first was a 1.9 camper D83 PHR
the second a bronze 2.1 Caravelle F318 ABD
and the third a white TD DOKA K412 RCP.

thanks

Australian 16" syncros

I have details of two 16" syncros which went to Australia in the early 1990s especially to take part in the Wynns Round Australia Trial. One was a DOKA and the other a bus although this was converted to a Trakka camper with a hi-top added. Both were 2.1s. They both finished the event when many ...

how did this work out? I now have a panel van with full bulkhead which I intend to remove.

Are the instruction clear & useful? Any difficult points?

Any help welcome,
thanks

With reference to the noisy CV joint - if it was already worn there would be shallow 'grooves' in the inner & outer races, where the balls were previously running. If you have now effectively raised the suspension the joint angle will have changed. As a result, the balls will now be running in a...

Thanks for all these responses - even though it has turned into a 16" 'for sale' board! I am still confused about just how frugal or otherwise I should expect a syncro to be. The recent announcement of likely increases in fuel costs and maybe in road tax for vehicles with high fuel consumption ...

Syncro 16" Experience?

Hi, I have recently joined the Syncronauts as I am actively seeking a syncro. I owned a succession of three between 1989 and 2000 but have been attracted back by the current increased activity. Maybe some of you can help me with answers to some questions, please? I always hankered after a 16" s...
