Re: Battery charge LED fault finding
Did you swap the LED with a known other good one as suggested earlier? They do fail from time to time and 30 years I reckon fit ps the bill of enough time

Re: ignition light comes on when going uphill
Check the alternator output at the alternator terminal, that should be 14volts and a bit, then check again at the battery. If it's significantly lower its your wiring/connections. The gauge wire on these buses is already very low and causes a lot of voltage drop, any dirty or not fully tightened con...

Re: Fitting a Sterling Alternator to Battery Charger - layouts?
Did you find a solution for this? My ABC130 is under the seat but it's so big it's a squeeze with all the mega fuses and heavy duty cabling which was needed to reduce voltage drop and cope with the high current load. I had to put the 12v charger under the other seat with the 12v fuse and distributio...

Re: Wondrous treats behind the sliding door rail
You could use panel bond instead of tiger seal. Some types are weld thru so with the zinc primer as well it will really keep moisture out with colour on top

Re: Correct shade of L90D Pastel white
Have you still got the paint code sticker on your bus? Should be under the dash on the air channel and have loads of info including paint codes. Any paint factors will be able to mix up the 2k colours for you. I think half a litre was £20 for mine a few weeks ago. IIRC mine was Damuso White and L90 ...

I find this really useful especially for making sense of wiring diagrams in Haynes and other. Can it get uploaded to the wiki? Ignition and current supply Code Function 1 Coil, distributor - low voltage 1a To contact breaker I (distributor with 2 separate circuits) 1b To contact breaker II (distribu...

Re: Battery Desulfator
We regularly use pulse chargers at work for heavy duty batteries to restore CCA capacity 100Ah 1400 CCA. However we also have intelligent testers that check the condition and suitability for recharging. An unrecoverable battery will regain no CCA after a pulse charger cycle and the tester will ID th...

Re: wipers wont work
For anyone else researching old threads.
Try changing the load reduction relay, it isolates high power circuits when the engine is cranking and if it's wearing out/worn out the circuit won't be remade correctly when the cranking stops

Re: Brake dash warning light
To resurrect an old thread. The brake warning light combines the parking brake applied and low fluid level warning. With a little fettling the warning light from a Porsche 924 is almost exactly the same and separates the warning lights. I picked one up on fleabay for a reasonable price. Took the gut...
