Re: Changing rear springs (Van has possibly been lowered)

You don't need to compress the spring. With the shock disconnected the trailing arm xcan be pushed down to release the old spring. That's what everyone meant be getting a hand from a 'fat bloke'. To push the arm down. E D I T... Just realised your fitting standard springs.. Doh! Sorry, I've never fi...

Re: Rebuilding a T25 westy Joker

Ooops! I just noticed in your pics showing the front arch that you have positioned the top lip of the new panel under the original panel. I recently (2 weeks ago!) replaced my front arch but I did it the other way, with the original edge under the lip of the new arch. I did this reckoning tha...

That will keep you busy for a while!

Do you know what hit the pillar in front of the sliding door? That will have taken some force to do that to it I would have thought.

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!

Thanks steveo, I had seen that site and looked through the new one it has a link for which does have links to a few suppliers in Germany, but none seem to have webshops and seem to be trade suppliers. I was hoping someone knew of a straight retailer. I'd buy it in the Uk, but would probably get stop...

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!

Hi Guys,

Just on the off chance, I'm trying to find somewhere to buy rustoleum in Germany, preferably a webshop but I'm struggling to come up with anything. I know there are a few guys on here living in Germany so does anyone know where I can find it?? :?

Re: footwell water leak

I really think it's your windscreen rubber. Mine was pooling in exactly the same way. My windscreen rubber didn't look too bad and when I gave in and decided to replace it there wasn't even any real rust under it. New rubber in and low and behold, no more leak! I did a thread on the brickyard about ...

Re: side door

Mine did this when I bought it, I ended up replacing the catch as the step in the wee arm in there was worn out.

It is worth cleaning all the grease and gunk off the catch parts first incase it's not closing onto the second notch properly because of accumulated muck.

Re: window seals - black streaks...

You sure they are not just dirty? Try cleaning them with a rubber restorer like Autoglym's bumper care (I think it's called?) or similar and you'll probably be amazed how much dirt is on them.

Re: What is required to fit a DK box into a diesel?

Yep, it is completely empty at the minute and it is going to get a 1Y when I finally find one for a decent price over here. I just wanted to put the box in first to make sure it is ok. I should have mentioned it is a 4 speed that is in it at the moment! The DK did come with part of the linkage still...

What is required to fit a DK box into a diesel?

Hi All, I've sourced a DK box to stick in my 1.6D and having done a search on here and the Brickyard I am a little confused to what else is required to do this conversion. I know the bellhousing and input shaft have to come off my own gearbox but what other parts do I need to source? Is it a case of...
