Re: Mystery copper pipe…

The breather tower looks more than questionable! The top has been cut off and wired back down with a pin across it. Leaking oil all over the place.

Aeroquip push fit, so easy to use!

Simply lubricate the barbed fitting with a little oil, hold it in a vise, put the hose end in boiling water and shove it on. Angles can be tweaked even after its all cooled off.

fwiw there is long-life zero ethanol fuel available from Aspen for garden machinery, available in 4-stroke (and 2-stroke 50:1 premix) which could also be used as a long-term storage or a flush-through option if you rig up a small temporary fuel tank. I first used it after refurbishing my chainsaw. I...

Finally got a delivery of parts for 2x remote oil filter & fan assisted coolers. Incomplete, but most of it is there and enough to get this thing plumbed before it goes in. There is no space to work once it has been installed.

"clocking" your wbx alternator mod

I had to do this due to a foul on my wbx6 between one regulator mounting screw and the inlet manifold (which could have then cracked the plastic) the benefit being that you can change the brush pack without removing the alternator. Might be of use to other wbx owners? The basics: remove alternator, ...

Re: The T3200E thread

While I wait for Think Auto to get their shizzle together and deliver oil cooler fittings (ordered two weeks ago) I find myself trying to work out the crankcase ventilation/oil seperator pipework. This means fitting the 90A alternator, which I then discover fouls the inlet manifold. So I "clock...

Re: Plastic impeller broke

The remains of the impellor wont travel far because once it fails, there is no flow, so most of it should be close to the pump in the block.

Re: Ford Mondeo st220 into '88 Caravelle

I qould say that those pipes are too big if you want to quieten it down. 63mm is more than big enough, thats 2.5" in old money. Your headers have plenty of bends which usually help to damp down the exhaust pulses but what you really need is system length. I'm not surprised that the first go wit...
