I'll let you know how I get on. Mine is a very early diesel though, 1981, and uses a lot of Aircooled parts. Seemingly, the DK will slot in with a minimum of fuss - we shall see!! I'll be sure to take plenty of photos, and Aidan has already given me plenty of advice

Aren't they just!! So much help for me, and doubtless others too, in just this one thread. And I've found so much other stuff in other threads I've found over the last two and a half years. Just a thought Phoog - there's nothing on the engine hatch lid fouling them when it's on is there? And is the pump properly secured to the block so there's no excessive vibration of the pump?
