Re: Rear panel replacement on an Autohomes camper
I removed the cabinets in my Autohomes when I replaced my outer sill, mine had old insulation between the panel cards and the outer skin. I also took the opportunity to rework the kitchen with a new 2 burner cooker and new cupboard doors to replace the old faded covered chipboard.

They're available on fleabay and the China copies, as mentioned above, are also available online. I've been sidetracked with this project at the moment as I'm preparing my bus for its mot .

Thanks for the input, very useful, I did wonder about how efficient coolboxes actually are. I'll look at the Alpicool models as they sound quite good.

12/240v cool box recommendation
I'm looking for a recommendation for a cool box to replace my fridge. The fridge works fine but i want something top loading, efficent and modern which can be removed when not in use. Really only need 12/240v and would consider gas but not a priority. I have a 37cm wide slot available in my camper k...

Re: petrol tank
Hi, I would say that you need to find out whats going on with the breathers you have fitted. Drop the tank and have a look at the state of the breather system and then just replace what you need to with new pipes, unions etc.

Re: Carburettor Problems
Also worth checking the state of the fuel filters, in line from tank and cone filter in inlet to carb. Its worth considering stripping down and cleaning the carb yourself with a rebuild kit. James' videos are good and it's just methodical work, I've done it and my bus runs better. I'd do this first ...

I'd refit the inline fuel filter in your carb, how old and what condition is your tank in?

Re: Painting Transporter badge?
I refurbished one of my badges by spraying satin black and then using a chrome pen for the letters. It looked good for about a year.

Re: Does anyone know.....
Yes my early van has factory windows and the middle, none slider, window is definitely smaller. Bought a sliding window for my slider and it was too short.

Re: Does anyone know.....
I think you'll need an early slider specific window. I replaced my middle, non slider side, window last year and it was quite a bit shorter than my early sliding door window. I couldn't get a sliding window to fit my early sliding door, they were all too short, so I just replaced the glass in the end.

Re: Coolant leak
Probably as it's a sealed system, now you've sorted the leak it should work fine. Go for a spin and get it up to temperature, recheck the tanks and your recent repair.

Re: Coolant leak
Your header tank should always be full, you need to trace the leak, start it up and have good look around to see if you can spot where it's coming from.
