Re: Rear Springs Replacement - Compression Tool
I've always had to really heave on the trailing arm, and crow bar the spring free of the turrets. I imagine there's a lot of different spring lengths out there by now. I'm 'stock' height but it's still a wrench.

Re: Flashing LED batten lights
I'd guess that like a lot of led lighting, they are over driven on voltage, are not cooled, and are poorly sealed against the elements. Frustrating that they all say "100,000hrs lifetime" or something! Never gonna happen. The annode and cathode of every led is a mild steel alloy, which cor...

Bleed nipples
Why are they so small?? Given the misery they cause across the whole industry, corroding, snapping, stripping, rounding off. Wasting god knows how many perfect calipers in the process. I've just swapped the clutch slave, it had a 7mm hex bleed screw. Nothing! So why the small size? Dare I suggest a ...

Re: 2.1DJ to EJ251 Conversion - On the the road!
I think mines a TSR one. Aluminium. Looks nice and has worked fine, but has developed a hairline crack in a weld somewhere so will need a repair. I'd probably go with a steel option if doing it again [emoji106]

Don't forget to grease the threads on the standard jack every 20 years or so. It'll stop the creaking and groaning [emoji6]

Yeah make sure there's some in the tank by the number plate, so that the engine will suck back in coolant and not air when it cools down.

Re: 1.9 DG engine
Also 'cruising at 70' always raises my eyebrow. So relaxing! No offense, maybe someone does get these numbers...???
