Re: Getting to grips with a rotten roof (Pic heavy)

Looks like an excellent job and in astonishingly quick time. Well done indeed :D

It has taken us a week to glue a few battens into the hi-top for the start of our interior re-build :rofl

Re: Awnings...wind out or drive-away?

We have both too as they have different purposes. The roll out is on the van all the time so can't be forgotten. It is easy and quick to put up and take down, even by one person. It doesn't take up storage space in the van. It doesn't shut us off from the world when we are camping in a group. We hav...

Re: Khyam Compact Awning - Verdict ?

We have one of these. It is obviously more difficult to put up than the "easy up" option......but much cheaper.
I don't think it would be possible for one person to manage it alone, but once up, it is a good size and sturdy.
Keep an eye out for offers. I think we paid £130 for ours.

Re: Sterilisation of water tank

I'm sure I remember some on here saying that Milton leaves a residue in the tank, although I may have completely made that up!

Re: Roof tents and Awnings

I do really like the look and the idea of them. We were on a site last year and there was a Landy with what looked like 2 rooms atop and a room below with the covered ladder. It looked great, but took an AWFUL long time to take down!

Re: Autosleeper Trooper - Original or Custom?

There are plenty of beautiful original vans out there.....you sound like you are putting a lot of hard work and effort into your van, so why not make it beautifully individual to you?
