hi , did my TDI / AFN conversion last year , and ever since i have done it i have always had this problem , basically i dont have any power after starting up , it wont rev 1500/2000rpm max... untill i hold my foot down for 2-3 seconds , then it revs 3000rpm + , then its fine , runs fine , revs fine....

Just thought I Would update. Problem was all due to my home made engine mount for the AFN. It had broken and had dropped that side if the engine down. Causing the engine to rotate and effect gear linkage/gear change Mount has come off now and re welded plus extra bracing. And now have first gear Matt

i guess , and i know how you feel .. but there are many kinds of plastic / different qualitys , also fitment etc ..

i guess re doing the gearlinkage is not a job you want to do very often .. also depends on how much you drive your camper as well ...

ok , my gear selection has never been the tightest , but over a few weeks i have lost the ability to select first gear

I am having issues with my scan gauge and I need to change the wiring to to the obd socket, so that I have 12v for a longer period as it does not remember any trip information at the moment, so I am going to put a permanent 12volts to the obd socket from the leisure battery to try and sort this out...
