mines is broke as well but the hose was knackered asked on the site and was told its for drawing cold air from the turbo,followed the hose in behind the rear light cluster and it goes into a motor for sucking the air,cant get the bolt out so have it cable tied as temp measure. if Im wrong no doubt i...

checking glow plugs using laser thermometer

Checked the glow plugs on the syncro this morning,rather than screw them out i used a laser thermometer, all plugs 12c before testing,turned ignition on twice,but did not start this would warm the plugs up then rechecked with thermometer all now showed 14c to 16c so all heating no need to unscrew.Go...

Looking to replace my tyres as well priced 4 215/70/15 goodrich AT yesterday £120 each fitted, that gives me something to work round so will see if i can get better price.

mate in mk1 golf club made mine up as it had been removed when the front panel was replaced. Got another look under the syncro tonight and noticed that there seems to be a hose missing from the turbo waste gate? i can see a small hose clip and whats left of a hose,where does it go? Easy once you know how, part 19 in the pic pops out might need a small flat head screwdriver to help lever it, then you will see the screw holding the surround in place.Replaced mine with chrome ones but also the same fit as the MK1 golf

Got them as well thought they smoothed out rear airflow to get her up to 55mph. Sorry want to know as well
