Re: Isle of Wight Campsites?
If you want a really pretty location - but very quiet, try "Pickpockets" it is just a little site in the middle of woodlands, loads of wildlife. The facilities are a tap & toilet but that is what we like, peace , quiet and picturesque - check it out on YouTube, £6.00 per night, if this...

New Forest Stop Off?
We are starting our journey travelling from the Midlands to Lymington to catch the ferry to the IOW early in the morning of Sunday 2nd Sept. We don't sail until 10.35pm and would appreciate any tips of a nice spot to make a stop off in the New Forest. We want to spend a few hours chilling out, havin...

Try this link
http://www.cabbagemedia.com/campsites/a-uk-region/eng/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Good website which just gives campsites all over the country by water - lakes, rivers or the sea
Hope you find it useful!

Re: Van cover?
On the choice of covers I would agree the JK is the one to buy. We park "Custard" up over the winter. We have had her 9 years and we are on the 2nd JK cover. The second one we purchased had a design change which seems to have made it more secure and the quality seems improved. Money well s...

Re: Where to go, when there's nowhere to go?
Try this one, Lees farm, Fenny Bentley right on the Tissington Trail and short walk away from Tissington Hall and a nice pub! Ashbourne is about 2 miles away max and very cheap (£4-£5 a night) and glorious views. No facilities other than water and loo, nice walks and river very close by. On a little...

Re: Blue light, Yellow Light ?
Thats what I presume, cannot think of any other reason. It seems too much of a coincidence that the 2 VW's I owned/produced in the early 80's, one a 1984 (Golf Van) and 1983 (camper) both had yellow lights. All other VW's owned have had the usual blue light?!

Blue light, Yellow Light ?
Why did VW think it was a good idea to use a yellow bulb for the high beam dash warning light instead of a blue one ? I owned a 1984 Golf van which had the same yellow bulb, but all other VW's we have owned have all had blue. Is it that in the early 80's were they experimenting ? Im sure some bright...

Re: Isle Of Wight suggestions
Thanks for all the suggestions. After a little bit of investigation we are thinking of trying "Roebeck Camping And Caravan Park" as this seems a little smaller, quieter and sort of "park where you like" location, which is the sort of site we like. We looked at Grange Farm and loo...

Isle Of Wight suggestions
Hi We have decided to visit the IOW in September as I visited many years ago on a family holiday and have always wanted to return. It will be just the two of us and the 2 dogs - so any suggestions need to be dog friendly. I would be grateful if anyone can recomend a nice, quieter part of the island ...

Try having a look on http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; they have a good selection and the reviews are useful. Hope you have a lovely hols! Dorset is a beautiful county, the only negative we found that it was very dog unfriendly, but you should be OK...
