Re: electric power steering
Mines been fitted for just over a year now. Parallel parking is a breeze now :D Took about an hour to remove the column and about 4/5 hours to fit. I had the advantage of using a 4 pillar ramp, however I have a LHD Diesel, to has to do a little trimming of the heater case (you need to remove about 1...

Re: stereos that fit
Just fitted one of these to my bus: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_918353_langId_-1_categoryId_165474" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; No CD player, but has two USB ports and a standard aux-in, iPod and iPhone...

Re: Oil splatter up tailgate
An alternative cause to consider: I've just found that my 'oil leak' is actually the diesel pump leaking. The diesel is then running down the block and sump getting dirty on the way and therefore looking like oil. Wasn't until I gave it a good clean that I found the cause. At high revs it was almost...

Re: AAZ oil cooler
Temp needle never goes above the LED, however never ran the AAZ without the oil cooler so couldn't give you a definitive answer. I read that the threads for and against and went with the notion that the cost of the cooler outweighed that cost and nause of fitting another engine. I haven't fitted an ...

Re: diesal engines
The rubber blanks seem to harden and perish very easily. Best thing i have found is a small length of 3mm fuel resistant pipe with a screw in the end - looks a bit gash, but seems to last a lot longer than the rubber cap.

Re: AAZ Not idling...
Did you see it running before you bought it? Have you changed the timing belt? If you have then you may be a tooth out with the belt which could cause it to have idle problems. I seem to recall from the brickworks fitting kit instructions, that the actual throttle lever position makes a difference s...

Re: Under engine bulkhead foam sheet?
Removed the original foam when I change the gearbox. Gave a good clean and de-grease and then covered the whole area with dynomat before waxoiling over the top. A noticeable reduction in noise. Need to make sure the area is absolutely oil and grease free before fixing dynomat and make sure that you ...

Re: T25 1.9 TD Oil leak/Breather pipe thingy...
I have an AAZ fitted to my van with all of the AAZ breathers fitted. No problems with the oil being sprayed everywhere. When the conversion was done, was the oil level on the dip stick 'reset'? If not, you are likely to be overfilling it and therefore the excess is being blown out (there is also a d...

Fitted one as part of an AAZ installation along with an oil cooler. Get heat up front nice and quickly and the needle on the temp gauge goes no higher than the LED.

Re: Newbie AAZ Question
I would have thought that the blocked off pipe will prevent excess pressure being released. Not sure how you would check other than to remove it, take it for a drive and see if the engine accelerates more quickly when the turbo spools up. If not, you may wish to replace the regulator to prevent over...

Re: how many times must i bleed coolant? grrrrr!!
After fitting my AAZ, I undid the bleed bolt on th rad, the filled the coolant tank. When that was full I started the engine and ran it until the thermostat opened; soon after that the water was pumped into the rad and started to flow from the bleed plug. As soon as that happened I tightened the ble...

Re: Newbie AAZ Question
Pretty sure that part is the the pressure regulator to limit the turbo boost pressure and the bit that has been blanked is the outlet for the relief valve. If this is correct there would be two reasons for blanking: 1. Because the valve is FUBAR and therefore not allowing the turbo to provide the ne...
