Re: New overheating problem (diesel) on road trip
Hello, I don't often venture into the water-cooled world..... However a few years ago an English couple came to me for help with their overheating Diesel T3. It would run fine on tickover and on full thrash, all bled, hot pipes etc. But after a few Kms of steady driving, the temperature would...

Re: Timing CT engine with electronic distributor.
Hello there, Still at it?? Are you still running the twin carbs?? Set your timing at about 8 to 10 degrees BTDC at tickover, carb vacuum plugged, at about 850 tickover. Then check your advance at higher revs with the vacuum pipe connected... Towards the end of this video you will see what I mean WJP...

Re: Front passenger grease cap keeps coming off...
Hello, Removing the grease cap with out tears.... You will need some 8 mm by 20,25 and 30 mm long sacrificial bolts and a small hammer. Wedge the appropriate size bolt between the lip of the cap and the bub..it will be at an angle. Now tap it straight, the cap will start to lift away, repeat ...

Hello,
If you are going to take the tank out...
As you are on a CU, consider changing the hot air feed that goes over the tank and on to the front. The flexy tube has foam inside which may have collapsed thus restricting air flow.

Re: Lithium Leisure Battery
Brickwerks offer a 14.5 volt alternator regulator so would that bring the charging of lithium to 100% ? Hello, As I understand it you should not charge a lithium battery directly from an alternator and regulator. I have a 'smart' split charge relay which is the power feed to the entire leisure sy...

Re: Lithium Leisure Battery
Hello, I have recently fitted a 100 AH lithium iron phosphate to my van. So far no problems, it runs my diesel heater all night with no issues. I have not fitted a fancy charger, as the leisure feed is by split charge relay. I have 200 watts of solar power through a WMP basic controller. The only ad...
