Accelerator cable bracket
Hi everyone, i'm broken down awaiting a tow. The throttle cable is connected but something is missing (fallen off?)to hold the throttle cable sleeve in place so it just pulls through the two guides on the chassis itself, theres no resistance to return the pedal. Driving me nuts trying to figure out ...

Re: gearstick removal + underslung wheel LPG tank...
I took the decision to weld up the gearstick back onto the stump in situ - there was enough left sticking out to make it a worthwhile join...luckily managed to borrow a mig from the campsite handyman! I wasn't looking forward to frazzled carpets and interior from the welding but it was fine. I'm def...

Re: Kayak rack for hightop
Thanks for your reply. They look good and i've considered them but I think you have to screw through the hightop at the top as far as I can tell - I'm trying to avoid any kind of water ingress if I can possibly help it and it just looks like a trouble spot. i'm going to look a little more into alter...

Kayak rack for hightop
Hello, I've been looking to fabricate a good roofrack for my t25 hightop , a side rack with j bars to carry my 14ft kayak. Fairwynds on here constructed a fantastic one from fiamma awning brackets but having looked at the spec, the awning weighs 40lbs so they'll obviously take that weight but my kay...

suspension clunk
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with suspension on my '85 dg engine camper, its developed a sort of rattly knock from the front passenger side when driving over potholes /minor lumps in the road surface, pretty rattly on minor roads! the upper wishbone bushes appear fine, shocks and springs working ...

Re: London Camp
Debden is good, surprisingly remote but only 25 mins from the heart of the east end...but...it is a bit mental anywhere near with the olympics.
Also Debden quoted £950 to stay there in van for 3 weeks over the olympics!! sept is a very good bet!

choke stepped cam retainer
Hi everybody, I was replacing my carb gaskets and testing the vac units on my pierburg 2e3 when I noticed the retainer piece with the two arms and springs attached that halts the stepped cam was bent on the thinner of the two (the one that doesn't catch the springs. The stepped cam had slipped. Does...

Re: Fuel gauge problem
I've got it sorted now! the positive lead to the sender was shorting the gauge fine and sending the arm over to the right, as it says in the wiki, but the other (earth) lead from the sender was chopped just by the earth screw on the crossmember, so the gauge wouldn't function.Doh! now fixed, sender ...

Fuel gauge problem
Hello everybody, I've got an '85 petrol dg engine camper, fuel gauge stopped working a while back. I've read the wiki and any post I can find (very useful info!) the temp gauge still works perfectly, I cleaned all dash pod connections a while back, dropped tank a little to test sender wire and that ...

Re: Olympics by van!
Lea valley site has got a bus stop to central London outside. it's pretty quick round the m25, probably easier to base yourself in east London than west. I'm renting out my flat and camping at one of the other London sites for the duration, it's gonna be a bit snarled up round our way in hackney, be...
