With a cold engine!.....you should only need to undo the 3 lock screws then turn the choke until round so the flap just closes (remove the airbox+pipes) over the top of the carb and then tighten up the screws (not too tight as they WILL strip!) fire up and run - or turn on the ignition and leave fo...

im thinking about selling the MAZDA RX8 for either a NISSAN NAVARA or the MITSUBISHI L200, ive had a test drive of them both, but im needing the publics opinion on there good and bad points on ownership, thats if anybody has had any off them :)

I thought the PICT/Solex was only fitted to the 1.9DF and the DG alway came with a Pierburg 2E? Unless there is anything very wrong with the Solex, I'd keep it, its much more simple than the pierburg to set up and has less to go wrong. Mine is still running fine even with a cracked autochoke cover....

i looked at the pipe work involved and noticed that im gonna end up confused trying to figure it out lol.. need to get a water feed into the carb :(

hey people, what alternatives is there to using a solex 34 pict 4/ 5 carb on my 84 wedge :)

and what mods do i need to do to make the alterative work?
