ive finally got round to fitting an engine 2 years down the line on my 1.9 dj engine, but im having a memory lapse to where the wires go, ive got black and brown to a water sensor, red wire from the heater element to the red wire in the loom, yellow wire to a small sensor on the thermostat housing, ...

With a cold engine!.....you should only need to undo the 3 lock screws then turn the choke until round so the flap just closes (remove the airbox+pipes) over the top of the carb and then tighten up the screws (not too tight as they WILL strip!) fire up and run - or turn on the ignition and leave fo...

I thought the PICT/Solex was only fitted to the 1.9DF and the DG alway came with a Pierburg 2E? Unless there is anything very wrong with the Solex, I'd keep it, its much more simple than the pierburg to set up and has less to go wrong. Mine is still running fine even with a cracked autochoke cover....

hey people, what alternatives is there to using a solex 34 pict 4/ 5 carb on my 84 wedge
