Re: Engine will not pick-up at junctions.

It's a 1600 air-cooled. I set plugs to 025"  All vacuum pipes are ok. The only thing I haven't changed is the pump diaphragm because I can't get one. No kit supplies the correct one.  The diaphragm is about 40mm square. I have tried nearly all VW suppliers, but no luck. The engine revs ok whe...

Solex Pict34-3 carb.

Can someone tell me how the vacuum valve on the fuel chamber works? It is connected through the air filter box.  When I had the top off my carb and pressed the throttle, fuel comes up through the hole in the base of the carb. which is connected to the pump jet etc. should this be happening? Thanks ...

Fuel tank unit.

Is it possible to remove the tank unit without dropping the fuel tank on my 1600 petrol camper van?
(It is not reading properly. I fitted a new tank and unit.)

Re: Brake Servo.

Hi hubcap61, was the vehicle you fitted the servo to have dual circuit brakes?  Thanks for your reply.

Brake Servo.

Has anyone ever fitted a remote servo to the front brakes only? I am thinking of fitting one for the disc brakes and fitting a separate vacuum pump to my 1600cc campervan. Looking forward to your replies. Thanks in advance.

Re: Brake Servo.

Thanks for your replies. I will need to look at my pedal box to see if it is the same as your photos. Thanks again.

Brake Servo.

Can I fit a servo from a 2.0litre Transporter straight into my 1.6 air-cooled Transporter, or do I need to change the pedal box too? ( I don't have a servo fitted at the moment.)  Thanks in advance.

Re: Pict 34 carb.

Thanks Robsey for your reply. I'll give it all a go.    I don't think the pump diaphragm is working as I can't see fuel being sprayed into venturi. Thanks Tom.

Pict 34 carb.

Can anyone tell me if the carb from a 1.9 dg water cooled will fit a 1600 air-cooled. I'm having trouble with mine when accelerating, it is very flat as if the pump jet etc are not working. Thanks.

Re: Brake Servo

My van(1600cc) is one of the first in the country and did not have a brake servo fitted a standard.  I want to know if I can fit an ordinary remote servo to it? Thanks.

Brake Servo

Good day. I want to fit a brake servo to my T25 'van. I have found one on ebay that fits classic cars. It is for single line brakes. Would I be able to use this on mine? Thanks to all.
