cheers skell our local vw garage seem to favour a replacment engine over a rebuild .the engine its self is a replacement vege unit which has only covered 10,208 miles so i think a top end rebuild sounds good providing it doesnt open a can of worms.i do like the sound of a subaru motor please tell me...

remanufactured waterboxers
im in a position now where i think my engine has a head gasket gone . its a 2.1 dj motor has any one else had to buy a new engine and which brand did you use ive searched the web and so far remtec are possibly in the lead with there two year guarantee .

there is a chap called dave who runs a company called futbus in newton abbot in devon hes an engineer and he puts all sorts of engines into t25s he could probably help you i will post you contact details when i find them hope this helps!!! photos are allways use ful too.

it could be wired ok perhaps the temperature senser on the gti lump needs replacing,just replaced mine on my van coz the temp gauge went down !!!

if you have a t25 manual and the golf manual check out both wiring diagrams then you can work out what goes where and mate up the electrics !how is the performance of your t25 with the gti motor ? would love to know , i have recently looked at one with a 2.2 five cylinder audi motor in the back .

I found the water leak it was a small l shaped pipe behind the water pump wheel what a pig that was to change.still its done now,temp guage still not working ,the lscu is number 43 ive removed it and it doesnt seem to make any difference.mind you the red light wasnt flashing when i removed it .

had some water drippin off the end of my oil filter today got under neath but i could not see where this was coming from ,its a bit congested there im guessing it could be the water pump seal . it never rains but it pours !!!!!!!!!!
