Pump,timing on a diesal engine
can anybody recommend a garage close to tyldesley ,wigan,bolton ,manchester that can set the timing on my 1.7 diesal pump ,there is a garage in glossop and on the Wirral ,just looking for somewhere a bit closer thanks in advance

for fuel economy it has to be diesal but they are smelly and noisey,but you get their eventually

i have just replaced my engine 1y golf turbo for a 1 y golf turbo,headgasket had gone on old engine,the only differance is the fuel pump,we come to reattach the throttle cable and the cableis to tight,there is no adjustment under the pedal,are there differant lengh cables available spoke to lad at g...

current drive is a 1.7 diesal 44 plus mpg,daily drive runs on 50/50 diesal veg oil looking for economy not performance

looking at buying a van with a aaz conversion cylinder head gasket has gone ,whot additional work would be required to fit a 1y engine (caddy 1.9 diesal )would all mounts , exhaust manifold just swap over ,any other ideas please

yeah postage does seem bit expensive ,its about 40 miles from me so i can pop over get part there and then,the wife has a little diesal car thats brill on juice

just got back from alltypes to find oil dripping from under my engine,there a lot of spray above the dipstick holder,where it connects to the engine should there be some type of rubber gromett? if so where do i get one from cheers jamie

went to gsf traford park none in stock,needed new air filter anyway,went to local car spares shop in stock 50p now back on the road

just got back from bustypes engine ran well, non turbo origanel 1.7 diesal,but ive got a fuel leak,as you look at the engine,the 1st injector nearest the cambelt there is whot looks like a spare nipple which has a cover,the cover has perished any ideas whot its called and where i get the cover cheer...

just removed the lower cover to the the throttle peddle,everything looks shiny new,so i have greased everthing up seems to have cured it for now but we will see cheers for now jamie

i have a lhd diesal,every time i start it from cold the throttle pedal seems to stick down ,if i pump it a couple of times,it seems to sort itself,it has had all new pedal assembly and cable prior to my purchase any ideas
