Trying to change the double seat on the T5 to a single and really like the seats in my T25. probably need to buy a new swivel base for T5 I would think, better if the one I have could transfer over. Probably a few modifica...

Re: Mot advisories
The near side trailing arm looks like it has been welded at some point looking at it,bus will be off the road so better to take off and get it blasted to see how bad they are, I take it these will be near impossible to get now if they are worse than they look.

Re: Change a Pierburg carb to Solex carb
Hi Kev
My brother in law is a mechanic and he did everything you say apart from the brake servo hose , will give that a try this weekend, I Have found a company in Prestwick that specialises in Peirburg carbs so might have to bite the bullet and get them to look at it if that doesn't work.

Yes, choke comes on and it works fine, when choke goes off it cuts out, renewed all vac hoses and did service also did a rebuild kit from brickwerks but still the same, have turned idle adjuster up a bit and it idles alright but high.

Water getting in at rear intake vent
Hi
While working at engine yesterday heard a dripping noise at rear n/s corner ( was raining very heavily ) after checking it out the corner was very wet, traced it back to a drip coming in through the air vent, I have never noticed this before, has anyone else had this problem.
