Raising the (Devon) roof
Help! After a year off the road, I just raised the roof of our T25 Devon camper with little success. It won't stay put. Lots of creaking on the way up and on the inevitable way down. Does this sound like the gas struts have bust? It's a heavy old roof but stayed up no probs before. Any ideas? Where ...

Thanks for replies. It's a love/hate relationship with our van. Some reliable running and a perfect camping weekend and we'll probably change our minds. Such is the seductive nature of these things I did consider the inevitable problems buying a second hand vehicle, but never expected quite such tra...

Not sure the garage will have put dud gaskets in but then again, I don't know who to trust in this game! Fingers crossed it is the rocker cover gaskets - both side seems a bit odd though. One thing's for sure , I won't be buying a T4! The van's getting sold and I'm going back to the trusty tent and ...

Off my rocker gasket..
Would like to scream blue murder from the hilltops! Owning a T25 has been nothing but a nightmare and still things go wrong! Just had my 2.0l a/c engine rebuilt with new pistons, barrels, cylinder heads (valve seat had gone causing loss of compression and backfiring etc), push rods, exhaust system, ...

Sliding window
Hope somebody can help!
I've a sliding window behind the sink on my Devon conversion T25. After months of no use, it's seized. Don't want to force it. Any ideas on how to get it open??
Cheers

Potential fridge problems
Dear all
My bus (T25 Devon pop top 1982) has been off the road for ages (over a year) so I haven't used the Electrolux Fridge in that time.
Am I likely to get the thing started on gas? Anyone had similar circumstances to deal with? Just wondered if they deteriorate in any way left idle
Ta

Gas fridge - carbon monoxide fumes?
Hello all
The guy who sold me my T25 1983 a/c Devon said to me that you should have a window open at night due to the carbon monoxide emissions from the fridge (when running on gas obviously). Surely the vent to the outside of the van channels them outside?
Thought please. Ta.

Idle stabiliser unit and LPG
Any help much appreciated folks! My T25 Devon 2 litre A/C is converted to gas, however it is with a garage to sort out some very poor running. They don't do gas (!) so they're sorting it to run on petrol. Once that's done it's off to Steve at Gasure to sort the gas system. Turns out the idle stabili...

tickover control/idle stabiliser unit 2.0 Aircooled
Apologies if this is in the wrong place - have tried the wiki but nada there (to my untrained eye anyway!) Can anyone explain how this works on a 2.0l Aircooled as part of the ignition system? More importantly does anyone know where I can get hold of one for my 1982 Devon bus? I also need a new lead...
