me thinks cos you've lowered it a considerable amount it tightens everything up, ie the suspension is quite firm so it all puts pressure on the wheels. there are a lot of pro's and con's, i didnt use genuine vw bearings they were from a local autoparts place, the bus as others are 20 years plus old ...

Had 60mm springs on me bus, looked cool, ride not too bad, but had to have the wheel alinement adjusted it scrubbed the inside of the tyres so cost me 2 new ones, it also cost me 2 wheel bearings after i had already put new ones on. In my oppinion mate dont do it,it puts too much srain on everything...

has been cored and welded but keeps snapping, darn thing. the only good metal out of germany was slapped on the a*** of a panzer tank. cheers anyway.

Hello all, HAPPY NEWYEAR, does anyone know whether 4 and 5spd gear sticks are the same, just the stick and ball socket, i have been told it unbolts from underneath, just need to know if same. or can anyone supply, i have 5spd box. cheers thanx.

my old tristar was put up for sale by Guy, don't know if it's gone but it's got a vindic canopy on it and had a new vw engine 6 years ago, was in for sale section, wasn't bad bodily when I last saw it at df a couple of years ago hello there,im a new member and im looking at your old tristar on ebay...
