Would make sense white is the central locking lock signal wire remains 12v live when the doors are locked.

Re: Early sliding door cable

As aidan said I have retro fited factory central locking I have been sourcing parts for a year or so when they turn up. And made the loom it's very straight forward to make. My van is a 83 so early. The cable was made as a direct replacement for what broke. There is about 20mm of adjustment and I am...

So Google to rescue and a couple of phone calls a cable tec in Nottingham were very helpfull and can make a new one for me. It was sensible money at £55 all in. https://i.img...

Re: Fitting Wolfy Exhaust

The wolfy exhaust is designed to be used with the early jx engine mounts. The early and late lest mount are very different. I can't tell from your pick if you have an early or late mount.
I would also concider using the hd rubber mount on the sump mount to the exhaust.

Re: 1Z timing belt change interval

look for any cracking in between the teeth as they are the weakest point on the belt, as for me i would be gearing up for a changing it and the water pump as it becomes very accessible when swapping over a timing belt and tensioner,

Re: Apk gen v git

No AC at the moment. As the AC rad was incredibly brittle but will be recognised after paint. The compressor is still on the engine with the hose outputs blanked. It works on an electro magnetic clutch to switch on and off .I think the big mirrors or now sorted. Andrew just has to decide if he colou...

Re: Apk gen v git

I am not overly concerned about the mpg. Recently we did a 1000km trip on our westy.agg Very low geared gear box. And it still returned late 20s which I find more than acceptable. The engine is the next generation from the agg so I would assume more efficient. If it actives mid to late 20s with the ...

Re: Mistery wire?

Thanks for that had a quick look in the Bentley and I think looking at later wiring diagrams that it's for the parking break warning light on the dash I will do some continuity tests over the weekend and try and confirm what it is
