Anyone know how to remove the cupboard over the cab of an 1985 club joker high top. It's not fixed securely so I need to re fix it? Thanks.

Answer...When there's a flame between the burner and the electrode there is less resistance than when there is just a gap (no flame). The ignitor can measure this and decide when to spark i.e when there is no flame. Probably then a faulty ignitor.

Question...What stops the ignition working when the fridge is lit. Is it the thermo couple? Could the thermo couple be faulty?

Thanks everyone so far. There is no spark anywhere along that braid covered wire although it's seen better days. I've a 12v battery correctly linked to the 12v connection to the fridge. I've measured 12v at the switch all fine. I've also measured 12v going into the black 'ignition' box and a steady ...

I've measured the voltage out of the black box on the top, where the braided wire/electrode is attached and at the electrode its self. So is it the gas switch (on the three way switch) which should trigger this spark? Any idea what order each step is in?

Can't get it to jump to a grounded wire. Do you think it might be a problem with the voltage is 9.5-10v too low?

Thanks for your response. I've removed the pilot light. I'm just trying to get some spark. So i've got 9.5V going to the rightangle sparker, what does it arc to, the gas burner/pilot? Still no spark when the burner/pilot is reinserted.

I've a 1985 club joker, i've taken out the kitchen block and there's a wire (two spade connectors) coming out of the floor next to the sink waste outlet. It looks like it goes into the waste tank, but i'm not sure. Anyone any ideas what this is for? Cheers.

Hi there I've a 1985 LHD club joker. There are coach bolts in three of the corners of the high top roof (the highest part - not where it lowers over the cab). One is plastic the others are metal with washers, i think they've been letting rain in. So the question is what are they for and do all westy...

Just as a follow up. I've had a mechanic look at it and he says the release lever is moving and that the problem is likely to be the clutch itself. His main reason is that the pedal is not 'floppy'. I'm still thinking that as the fluid was below the intake pipe in the reservoir there must be air in ...

I have noticed some fluid drips on the inside of the front tyres (had previously put this down to seeing our neighbour letting his dog relieve itself on my tyres!), so i guess there may be a leak in the break hydraulics - good job the clutch stops working before the breaks do!
