Re: Having trouble finding parts for water cooling system!
Just managed to find the last pipe I needed on ebay from the US. When checking ebay remember to search for "vanagon" parts as well as T25, T3, Transporter etc... as that's one of the names used in the US.

Re: Having trouble finding parts for water cooling system!

Re: Replaced starter motor, solenoid click, not turning over?
Hi guys, will update my profile. Been a stressful weekend with family health problem over the weekend so I ended up chucking the van at my pet garage. No I hadn't replaced the bush as I was working from Haynes and it didn't say anything about it The starter was "new" from JK so couldn't un...

Re: Replaced starter motor, solenoid click, not turning over?
Ahh, that makes more sense to me now. All I did earlier was supply power to the outside of the solenoid using the jumper cable. Makes no difference if the solenoid isn't making the connection when it's activated. What I need to do is figure some way to check if power is coming out of the solenoid wh...

Re: Replaced starter motor, solenoid click, not turning over?
Right, doing my nut now. Battery fully charged, but still nothing. It's just as if the main power cable isn't attached. The solenoid clicks but nothing happens. Took the main feed wire off and gave the crimp a good clean but still nothing. Tried something else a bit off the wall, made sense to me bu...

Re: Starter wont turn, busted cable, quick fix?
Changed the starter this evening by torchlight, didn't go too badly. Tried starting the van and the solenoid clicks but started doesn't turn. Might be the battery so I've got it on charge but is there anything it could be?

Replaced starter motor, solenoid click, not turning over?
1.9 Petrol on F with a more recent engine. Started wouldn't turn yesterday, even with a jump, called AA and they found that a short braided cable running from solenoid to the side of the starter had coroded and broken. We got the van started by shoving a screwdriver in there and I got home ok but no...

Re: Having trouble finding parts for water cooling system!
I've phoned round loads of places inc. VW Heritage, JK and VW Comercial and those parts have been discontinued. I have found them though on a couple of US websites so I'm planning on ordering from there over the weekend. I'll let you know who I ended up using.

Re: Having trouble finding parts for water cooling system!
Nope, must be a recent engine as the thermostat is at front, oposite side from expansion tank.

This shows what it's like, but soesn't show the other side of the water pump and the parts I need.

Having trouble finding parts for water cooling system!
Reregistered as not been here in a while. Van has been at the garage a week now originally just for the waterpump but as they changed that other associated parts were needed. I'm having trouble finding the last bits they need. Van is 1900 petrol. According to what's been described to me over the pho...
