Re: T25 metal dashboard
Your dash looks tidy - I'd definately consider painting mine. might see if I can get a spare and spray it up to swap it out in a day What's it like in the Sun? do you get any nasty reflections? I was considering getting mine flocked with these guys http://www.atouchofflock.co.uk That is one strange ...

Re: Lyme Regis.....
x2 Trebormint... Hook Farm is a nice site and the walk into Lyme along the brook is to be recomended. Means you dont have to fight for a parking space in town. As others say, anywhere along beach from Lyme to Charmouth is good for fossil hunting and when the signs say 'beware of falling rocks', here...

Put diesel in my petrol tank - dont panic!
Had a slight senior moment at weekend while filling up and put a six litres of diesel in the petrol tank of my 1.9DG before I realised what I was doing. After a slight panic, I filled on up with petrol, reasoning that in a full tank, the diesel would be well diluted down. I was also hoping that the ...

Pete
Any progress with the rust repairs and refitting units to your Autosleeper? Would be very interested to see an update.

Re: New Wintery tyres
This is useful stuff. Would be very interested in more experiences with winter tyres from those that have them fitted. Do people fit them all round or just on rears only? Was in Cheltenham last weekend when a couple of inches of snow fell in about an hour. Trying to climb the hill up A435 (about a 2...

Re: Current T3 Exhaust options. Standard and Stainless
Might be worth mentioning that its an idea to keep an eye on VW Aircooled suppliers, who sometimes have T25 parts. My new silencer came from Machine7 during one of their half price sales and is good quality - weighs a ton, anyway. Good quality mild steel parts may last longer than you think if a ful...

Re: Advice on fuel lines please
Thanks for the reply oldjets. Sorry but not very technical - so if I get 2m of this 5.5mm will this be ok (plus the proper clips)? Or do I need more of a different diameter to complete the job - I want to replace all the fuel lines (or rather get my garage to do it!) Thanks. Dom :ok Dom Folowing in...

You could also try Volksbolts: http://www.volksbolts.com/eng.htm#fuel" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Used their 5.6mm i.d. hose and stainless clamps for the fuel line for my 1990 1.9DG engine bay lines. The clamps are well fitting and good quality. Or use original style cri...

Re: 1991 Trooper Units removed at last! PICS UPDATED
Good photos and great info. That's definitely going to come in handy in the future, so thanks for that. And keep us posted on how it all goes back together. Will be worth all the agro once its done. Good luck with the rebuild. My own Trooper is pretty original, and I'm keeping it that way, so if you...

Re: 1991 Trooper Units removed at last! PICS UPDATED
Pete Haven't got any grinder wounds to compare.... So, going back on topic about removing units and rust - can you give a little more detail about where fixings were on wardrobe and units? I have the identical van to yours (although minus most of the rust thankfully) and won't be looking at removing...

Re: T25 virgins wanting camper!
Another UK conversion worth considering is the Autosleeper Trooper. Has solid sided pop top and is well equipped and has a good layout. It will get cold up in pop top during Autumn/early Spring nights though, as although the sides and roof are lined there is a ventilation gap at the ceiling. Great i...

Re: Cooking gas hose pipe
Don't mess about with ordinary rubber hose. Use only proper gas hose rated for caravan or motorhome use, not something from car accessory shop!
Got a local caravan dealership near you? They should be able to help and its not expensive for the correct stuff.

Quick and easy awning/sunshade
Some may be using this arrangement already, but its a quick and easy solution for a lightweight sunshade or outdoor cooking area. Various companies do a basic tarp.
