cheers lads, is that the sender that sits in top of the expansion tank? thats got an o ring sort of thing round it, i didnt know the tank should be brim full so that might be down to me, let me try that and come back to you guys.

have just changed coolant and bled system 2 or 3 times, have noticed when the engine is well up to temp, pressure in the system is escaping through the sender unit on top of the expansion bottle, is this something to worry about or not? cetainly i am getting air into the system somewhere as after i ...

hello everyone, temp gauge has just decided to stop, no warning, working fine for ages, then never came on when i started her up and hasnt worked since, is this a common problem, and whats the likely fault please? also do you all get a bit of gurgling noise from the rad when youve turned off?

does anyone know whether its strictly nessacary to keep the auxillary petrol tanks or can they be discarded? getting gas soon and cant see point of keeping them to be honest, any views greatly appreciated as always, cheers

as disco says, take one jump lead, put one end on top of glow plug, the other on pos terminal, then touch bottom of plug to neg terminal, it should glow pretty quick, if it doesnt its had it, it only takes one duff one to affect starting

thanks mocki, so this bit about useing pink anti freeze due to certain rust inhibitor qualities aint exactly the whole story? glad i asked first, your right that other stuff is pretty pricey, still mix 50/50 though?
