The weatherman says the west coast has the best of the weather if you live hereabouts.
So who is the LIverpool man on here who mentioned a site on the Formby road he used "just to get away"
Wouldn't mind trying it. This will be our first overnight outing proper.Woo Hoo

Re: problem finding gear

There's info in the wicki above but firstly, do you know when the gearbox oil was last changed? If not then do that first as it needs doing eventually. That alone works wonders. Then there's the linkage from your gearstick to the back of the van with various places where general wear makes gearchang...

Re: Fuel Line sizes ?

Just gave my van a service and checked the fuel lines I used were in fact 5mm. The 5.5mm wouldn't tighten enough.

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!

Hi cov kid. I am preping my camper at the mo ready to paint in the spring. I have bought your DVD and has given me the motivation to have a go myself. The problem is I cant find those sponge brushes any where. I have been to all the £1 shops in Wolves B&Q and Wickes and asked my local shop to o...

Re: Rustoleum colour chart

I have an official Rustoleum chart if anyone wants it. Perhaps it can be a communal thing and get passed on to the next person on request after the colour is chosen?
johnnyb416-If you want it, pm me your address and I'll stick it in the post

Re: attaching hi top roof

I fitted an "empty" hightop and used tigerseal allthe way round the van, sat the roof on and pushed the sides against the seal then from inside , ran a good thick bead all the way round as O.B.G. suggests.

Re: changing door rubbers

Had a quick check today and metalmickey you are correct. there was a t-piece in the rubber between the hinges so I'll remove that for the new rubber.
Cruz- If I'm short of these parts I'll take you up on your kind offer. I'll let you know
Thanks for your guidance people

Re: changing door rubbers

Thanks for the reply new kentish campers. I thought that was the case.
I haven't removed the old ones yet, so are the 3 t-pieces removable from the old rubber? There is a series of small holes around the new rubber (bought from J.K.)

new cd player fitting problem

Bought and fitted a new cd player and all works ok.
BUT..the unit is too long and the rear of the player hits the heater fan cowling. Is there such a thing as a spacer for this problem and if so what is it called. (don't want to appear too thick at halfords)
Cheers

changing door rubbers

2 Front door rubbers have arrived . This might seem obvious but do I need to disconnect the pin for the door stay to fit the new rubber or is there a magic trick I should know about?
cheers
