Re: Passenger window stuck down! 1981 t25 westfalia
Armed with that confidence I have now uncovered said screw and fixed it. My thanks - take two sweets out of the bag next time round.

Re: Passenger window stuck down! 1981 t25 westfalia
Alright, this has got me. I have the same problem as the OP - winder spins and clicks. I have started pulling the winder away from the door card, and can see the splined winder mechanism behind, but cannot see how to detach the two. Surely not just brute force?

Re: Low Profile Roof Vent
I don't suppose anyone knows of such a roof vent or has another option? Any tips that can get me my first camper will be greatly received. Hi and welcome Haven't tried it, but I recall someone fitting a car sunroof that they got cheap from a scrap yard. Fits flush to the roof, and seemed an ideal s...

Re: Overnight stop near London?
Years ago when househunting in London (ready for a move from Nottingham) we used to kip in the middle of Ealing Common.
The road that runs through the middle is surprisingly quiet, given it's a spit from the north circular. Check it on the map
here.

Ha. Near TIdeswell. Nothing particularly steep around there you'd think. But the satnav has a habit of taking fancy, pretty diversions along what it thinks is the shortest distance between two points.

Re: Scary sound at high revs
Thanks Ian. I know the area, and would normally avoid the worst hills, but when the satnav leads you to the bottom of one and there's nowhere to go but up... And thanks Grumpy. Have spent the night mulling and had come to the conclusion that it had to be the turbo, cos there was nothing else it coul...

Scary sound at high revs
One hour ago... Going up a very steep hill in the Peak District, so steep couldn't stay in 2nd for more than 10 seconds at a time, so in 1st at high revs there's suddenly a bing from the back, and a horrible rattle starts. Stays with us - at high revs only - in all gears, though applying firm pressu...

Note as Cruz says you can get a new switch from GSF for £5, or do what I did - quicker, cheaper and saves a trip out. Hope that helps - good luck!

Re: water tank removal
Hi i own a T25 autohome Komet and i need to remove the water tank from under the double seat. Have tried but am having major problems, is there a easy way? Cheers Dave It's doable, and I've done it, but not easy. Autohomes put the tank in first and just built everything around it, so you have to st...

Agreed - been a fan for years. Not everyone is happy to d/l new software though, and for them Paint, well, kind of works.

Re: Propex Woes
They're very pressure sensitive - sure you've got plenty of gas in the bottle? Mine stopped working even though the flow seemed fine (and there was enough for at least another 20 kettles on the hob); changed the bottle and the heater fired up again.

Re: Fusebox woes
How do I make pic iles smaller to upload Jim? You have to use some kind of graphics program. I'm a bit out of my depth here, 'cos I don't use Windoze, but if you do you probably have "Paint" (on the Accessories menu). Load the picture into that and use the Image menu (IIRC) to rescale it ...

RESULT!
Got the fusebox out and took it apart. My, it's scary in there. Cut away the melted plastic to make 12 and 13 serviceable again, swapped the redundant blower switch for the functional one and fitted everything together. Works. So the motor is fine. Which leaves open the question of what caused the b...
