is anyone running one
and what are the pros and cons?

oh and it ran fine before i removed the carb whilst i was fitting new gaskets the carb would of been sat dry for 2 and a bit weeks

hello i have been having trouble with my van and need some advice it idles well and rund ok till it kangaroos and then dies only above 30 so far i have done as follows read the wiki on carb faults ect found no induction leaks no air pockets in the fuel line fuel filters fine ignition all fine carb s...

anyone ?

right still struggling got it to run of choke now but when i drive it after about 5 to 10 min it goes all sluggish and power less then cuts out normally around 30-40 mph there are no air leaks there is fresh fuel cleaned the float chamber out ect that made some difference but just keeps cutting out ...

they look like some sort of power ranger machine not nice and tacky wonder how heavy they are bet they would do a good mpg??

i have just had to do this as both mine where leaking lucky for me my engine was a donor which was rebuilt 2 years ago drove for 1700 miles then laid up, the heads where really badly pitted this was causing the leak i assume the pitting was caused due to it being sat doing nothing for such a long ti...

right my vans windscreen has a small hole near the corner (curently filled in due to water getting in) just below the rubber seal but the rust is behind the seal on both sides does anywhere stock a repair peice for this or will i just have to wait till i can afford a front end?

i has the same problem with my solex so i upgraded to a webber and now i have the same problem after taking my carb of the inlet and refitting it.
when i did the head gaskets.

ye man its a auto water choke on a webber was fine before but now runs "pooh" kind of stuck

im really stuck it will only run on choke anyone got any advise theres no induction leak on the base of the carb
theres fresh fuel ect
any ideas

right i will check it does sound like theres an induction leak just cant find one i just dont want to make it worse
scared of the unknow
but would be cool if some one knew what to do.

just put my engine back in after doing the gaskets will start and run but will only drive for 5 min when its hot and just loses power judders then cuts out
im stuck i think it needs setting up again but i have not touched the carb at all
any ideas ?

no well just sorted it all wired fine i was told to prime the system by taking the oil filter or and filling it with oil and the filter feed pipe worked a treat also the noise was the tappets they have now shut up but the van wont drive i think it will need setting up again and i have an induction l...
