Auto to manual choke.

OK so I have another T25 and this one is a 1900 with Peirburg 2E carb. Basically the choke is fooked. Has anyone tried rigging up a manual choke and if so got any tips? OR can anyone point me in the direction of where I can buy an off the shelf manual conversion or has anyone got a working ch...

Re: A few rust bubbles

Cheers peeps. I am even amazed myself when I look back at this topic. Over the last 4 years it does not seem so bad and I guess, for me, its a past time doing the repairs. I am fortunate that my van is a second (3rd) vehicle so that takes the pressure off a bit. People ask me why I want an old van (...

Re: A few rust bubbles

To Cyrus, I guess anywhere can be dangerous mate, you just need to watch your back. People go on travels and think they are in a little security bubble sometimes? I feel more threatened in a large city than the great outdoors but thats not to say it does not have its own dangers.

Re: A few rust bubbles

Thanks Peeps. It was a quick trip. I suppose we are quite lucky as we are only roughly 4 hours from the Spanish border. The Pyrenees are stunning on either the French or Spanish side but of course Spain feels a little more adveturous somehow? :)

Another deserted hilltop village. Re: A few rust bubbles

So, I have been repairing the old steel shroud, not pretty but it works until a better replacement turns up. It was so rotten that it partially collapsed and stopped the fan from turning! http://s17.postimg.org/66tmb917j/van_radiator_013.jpg heberger une image http://s21.postimg.org/pf4ru83i...

Re: A few rust bubbles

Anyway back to the plot. I sourced a good second hand rad. I also cleaned up some dodgy looking brake pipes that sit right up behind the rad, I am glad I did because they started leaking! I say glad I did because best to find out now and NOT whilst driving down a mountain pass high up in the Pyrenee...

They are BBS style alloys. I am not a particular fan but I do like the way the van sits on them

Re: A few rust bubbles

Now found the soddin' radiators leaking so had to remove it, unfortunately after sitting nice a snug in the same place since 1986 the rad would not come out without a fight. Three hours later and phew its out and I am a happy chappy. http://s17.postimg.org/m9pi9wna7/ratiator_removal_007.jpg téléchar...

Re: A few rust bubbles

I spent the odd day or three over the winter (brrh!) on the eternally creeping rust and it was covered in a layer of thick dust and cats footprints (the little swine) so I gave the old bus a 20 minute blast with my Karcher. http://s18.postimg.org/s7ybb37ft/karcher_van_003.jpg télécharger des photos
