Hi there,
Thanks for the great info.
It’s a 1985 1.9 water cooled. Forgive my ignorance but I’m not clued up on exact engines so I’m not sure what you mean by WBX.
I’ll try all the suggestions above and see how I get on.
Thanks again.
Andy.

Temp gauge issues
I have had a look through the wiki and previous posts but couldn’t find what I’m after. Apologies If it’s been previously covered. My temp gauge light flashes when I turn the ignition on, once I start the engine it goes out as normal. However after 20 mins of the engine running sat on the driveway a...

Roof rack weight limits ?
Hi all.
I've got a doka and bought a roof tent for it today, it has been mentioned that there may a limit to the weight I can put on the guttering.
Does anyone know if there is a set limit or is it a case of common sense?
Many thanks.

Banded steels
Hi all. I bought some banded steels recently to go on the rear of my docka and have just had some tyres fitted to them. The tyres had to be stretched to fit due to the extend of the banding. Stood side by side next to the front wheel the banded wheel with the stretched tyre is smaller in height due ...

Thanks in advance.

Re: Lights doing their own thing??
I know they should be but I didn't realise that both front fog lights ran off separate fuses, and with one of them coming on but not the other I ruled the fuses out ( not something I'll do again). It's all a learning point and I don't mind mistakes that in the end educate me in one way or another. C...

Re: Lights doing their own thing??
Success !!! I'd checked and double checked all my earths, I'd checked bulbs, bulb holders and all connections. Once I started comparing the two headlights to see which wire was powering which element of the bulb it occurred to me that the bulbs had different power supplies. Tracing the wires to the ...

Hi there.
It's a "C" reg so I think that's roughly an 84 and has round lights.
Cheers.

Lights doing their own thing??
My camper failed it's MOT today on an issue with the lighting that I just can't work out, I've checked all the bulbs and the earthing and connections but no joy. Side lights are fine ( small little bulb in the light fitting). Driving lights (dipped beam) are fine. It's when I put the fog lights (mai...

Possible battery problem ?
I had trouble getting the camper (a 1.9 water cooled) to start last year on its own battery, it would jump start with no problems though. Some times it would eventually start on its own. But very rarely. I had the battery checked by the RAC and at GSF and both said the battery was fine. I've checked...

Oil warning light won't go out !
Hi folks. Half way to work today (3 mile each way) my oil light started to flash. It did it all the way home as well and seemed like it was losing power. I've left it to cool and topped up the water which was low and the oil which was not even showing on the dip stick, not sure how I missed that one...

Re: Hook up and leisure batt issues
Thanks for the reply. All the fuses in the zig are ok. I disconnected the leads from the zig to battery at the battery end and measured the voltage there (not connected to the battery). That's where I was getting the 8v. On a separate not I'm sure the battery has had it as well, it's back on charge ...
