I have a 1600 ct Aircooled engine rebuilt so has manual tappets now and twin carbs but still very poor so want to swap for another Aircooled what is the beat way to go and what will i need what is the engine code to look out for and what gearbox do i need to change from cable cluth?

i know the clearence but its he overheating that closes them up

thanks Keith mine are not hydralic tappets they where taken out in rebuild

hi i have a 1980 1.6 t25 twin carb man tappets keeps getting hot and closing the tappets what would be the best thing to do? it only has 2000 miles on the clock had the engine rebuilt as it was the oringal ct unit . should i put an electric fan in the enginebay if so what one?
