Re: Definitive Guide - Rear Seat Belts - Wardrobe side.
Just in case it is of use/interest to anyone, here's a couple of pics of the harnesses we got installed, which gets round the whole 'hole in wardobe' issue. We've also got a lapbelt in the middle, but I think 3 harnesses would fit OK. http://i380.photobucket.com/albums/oo241/otleygas/camperbelt10001...

Re: Definitive Guide - Rear Seat Belts - Wardrobe side.
whilst noting earlier comments about this question being specific to 3 point belts, we had the same issue and decided to go for 5 point harness which are secured from bolts under the 3/4 seat, and above from bolts just by the top of the rear boot, thus avoiding the need to fix through/round/in the c...

oily water
Hi, I drive a '84 T25 with a 1.9 td mark 3 golf engine in (code 1Y) broke down on way from bristol to padstow (sudden onset of steam coming out the rear!) naturally, pulled over, let engine cool and checked water levels (none!). Kind Mr AA man came to fix split pipe that had caused the problem but c...

Re: Help needed - buying first camper
£2k thats a good price for a westy did it need much work well, it's a panel van conversion with a westy roof, rather than a true westy, as far as I can make out. Have just had some work done (Exhaust system, brake overhaul, new tyres, seatbelts in the back and a few other bits and bobs) since buyin...

Re: Help needed - buying first camper
Hi all. Well we took the plunge at the end of last year and bought a t25 westfalia style conversion for £2k . Very happy with it so far and have done several hundred miles in it with no probs. Are planning to use it for the first time to go camping in a few weeks time :) Being a complete novice in t...

Thanks for all your advice and help so far. I went to see the '82 pop top today. essentially it's as i thought it might be...key points were: - pretty original condition, original engine (100k) paint, fixtures and fittings. no signs of filler. - engine, some history of general maintenance, ran smoot...

The high top doesn't state what year but looks 'newish'. 1985/6 was the changeover from air cooled to water cooled. (Don't post a question asking which is best - you'll never hear the end of it!!) I think the Devon sounds a bit pricey for it's age but maybe it's in fantastic nick and the hightop's ...

Link to first one doesn't work. Second one is gassed, has an inverter and only 29000 miles - I presumed that would be on a recon engine. Read all the buyer information that you can. When you view a van think bodywork, bodywork, bodywork, bodywork. You can repair interiors and mechanics but bad body...
