well it's unusual for you lot not to have an opinion or comment People fanny around with their air-cooled engine all the time is that because they have no choise :) it's just easier to rip it out and replace it with a subaru or something else. somthing similar happened to me had the gear box
out turned out to be Spigot shaft bearing cost fiver from brickwerks!

I happens when the engine is warm, it is like a held back jerk for a second or 2.
