Re: A speedo problem that I'm sure someone will recognise :-)
I've been thinking and I've done some looking, I can't find anything on the wiki link and I've been checking Just Kampers website and googling but no luck so far. But could it be that Debbie (my LHD 2l Aircooled Devon conversion T25) is fitted with a RHD speedo cable. Could this be the cause for the...

A speedo problem that I'm sure someone will recognise :-)
t25-speedo-1.jpg I have an old threaded speedometer, that runs from the hub. It has never worked and I've only just got round to making it a priority. I've replaced the clip at the hub and I've checked the cable spins at the dashboard end while driving and it rotates with force to the varying speed...

Re: Dellorto DHLA Dual-advance vacuum hose?
I've used the original cable, I made a new entry point through the tin ware so it would pull from the middle.

Re: Dellorto DHLA Dual-advance vacuum hose?
Ahhhh, thanks.
That explains everything.
I'll get on to finding someone who can tap the inlet for me.
Purchase a breather box, attach the distributor vacuum hose to the correct port.
And then look for a place with a rolling road.
Cheers

Re: Dellorto DHLA Dual-advance vacuum hose?
I've just had another look at the diagram in my Dellorto Superformance book (pic attached). On my carbs there is no attachment coming from the hole (No 7 on diagram) where the distributor vacuum port is (have a look at the picture of my carb from a the previous post). And the two attachments that yo...

Re: Dellorto DHLA Dual-advance vacuum hose?
Do you know where may do the bossing for brake servo barbs for me?
And I now have a little confusion to do with the vacuum hose attachments from the carbs.
It seems there is two per carburettor, could it possible that one is for the brake servo?

Re: Dellorto DHLA Dual-advance vacuum hose?
Sorry for the late reply. I got my carbs from Dellorto, here's the link: http://www.dellorto.com/merchandise/products.asp?CategoryID=26&PartsectionID=117" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; They were expensive, but they were in perfection condition and I was told that they w...

Re: Dellorto DHLA Dual-advance vacuum hose?
Hay, it seems some of my info was wrong.
The Dell's are DRLA's and they only have one distributor vacuum port.
So it seems you've managed to completely solve my problems.
Thanks again
Mike

Re: Dellorto DHLA Dual-advance vacuum hose?
That's great stuff, I was wrecking my head trying to work it out!
So I can use any one of the two ports from the distributor for advance and
attach it to all four vacume ports on my Dell's?
And I've put a little chrome covered breather filter on the crank case now!
Cheers

Dellorto DHLA Dual-advance vacuum hose?
I've just installed dual Dellorto DHLA 40's on my Type4 2L Air Cooled engine. But I have no Idea where to attach the vacume hoses form my Dual-advance distributor. I can see the distributor vacuume ports on the carbs, 2 per carb but I have no idea how the tubes need to run. Does any one know how to ...

55amp Altinator
Just a quick one. I have a 2L Air cooled T25 and the alternator went on it. Will a 55 amp altinator be enough to keep it going?

Re: Sink tap
I connected the tap up to the pump in series so the tap controls the speed of the pump but I don't know what this extra wire does.
Re: Sink tap
What's a pressure switch?
Re: Sink tap
Ok cool, I've got the wires from the tap attached to the wires on the pump (Blue sleave) it all works nicely.
But I still don't know what the srtange black wire is coming out the side?
