Re: LED interior lighting
OK I got a bit giddy in IKEA bargain corner the other day and bought some 12v lighting. I have just got it out and realised I don't know what to do now  I have opened up the transformer, and can see how to disconnect it. Do I then just attach the 2 wires to where the old tube lighting is fitte...

Re: Spacemaker Tunnel Awning
Cheers Guys, Is that the tunnel awning? I have only just bought it, I was told that all I needed was the figure of 8 clips for my guttering???? I have no idea what awning that is, it was just a picture I found online to illustrate the handedness of awnings. Try google images with the name of your a...

Re: Spacemaker Tunnel Awning
Cheers Alice, I am really sorry if it sound THICK! surely I just drive my van around the other way??????? Yeah but the awning fits onto the sliding door, no matter which way your van is facing. Look at the one below http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad287/camperalf/J13535.jpg This is for a RHD van...

Re: Spacemaker Tunnel Awning
If you just want the awning just for space it doesn't matter. If you want to use a bedroom in it it matters, as the bedroom will block access to your van door if it the wrong side. Hope that makes sense.

Re: camping with kids???????
Hi, This site is a bout 20 mins from Buxton and we love it. No entertainment as such, but loads of space to run around, a lovely stream that the kids (mine are 10 and 6) love splashing around in with fishing nets and wellies or a rubber dinghy, great walks near and caves a short drive away. Very nic...

Re: Camper Van Cookbook
I cook stews, soups, chilli (and anything else that can be reheated in a saucepan) at home & freeze it, that way when I go away for a weekend my food helps cool the fridge quicker (cos its frozen) and all I have to do is reheat on the hob I've got one of those campervan cookbooks & there se...

Re: Devon fresh water tank
Hi,
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but they are very hard to get hold of. I only know cos I sold one a couple of years ago and had a load of responses and guy who bought it had been looking for a couple of years. Your best bet is to measure the space and try and find something that will fit.

Re: O000ooooooops! what have i done now??
Hi, Doesn't look like a devon roof, the roof vents are in the wrong place, and the sticky up bits go across on a devon, not along, if that makes sense. Also the shape of the canvas just doesn't look right for a devon. Proud to pop http://www.proudtopop.co.uk/ and campershop http://campershop.co.uk/e...

Re: St Ives Bay Holiday Park, Cornwall??
We have just had a night at Ayr Holliday Park in St Lves. The view over the bay was fantastic, the facilities were great new or just been redone. We found a pub in the town that takes dogs so we had a good meal and good beer (The Union). We just turned up and were given the last hard standing pich....

Re: St Ives Bay Holiday Park, Cornwall??
It's a bit of a long way from anywhere other than the beach. Have a look at http://www.ayrholidaypark.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which is right in the centre of St Ives or its sister site Trevalgan Farm (about a mile outside St Ives but with a free bus service). ...

Re: Thanks Club 80 90!
If it's raining, even with shoes off rule, the rain comes in the door. It might be worth you getting a fiamma thing, or before we had a big sheet on guy poles, anything to shelter the door. I really like sitting in the van with the door open in the summer, watching the kids having fun in the rain. (...
