I was gonna weld a bit of threaded bar, in the end i took the tank off, but the van was off the road anyway so there was no rush to get it done, it is a pita to take the tank out,

I would say it will be the same a bleeding any diesel engine, you might need to bleed the injection pump, if the injector pump is primed you should not really need to bleed any further, but you could try cracking the injector pipes and cranking the engine until you see some fuel then re-tighten. Some more grinding today, had to finish quickly so a coat of vactan has been applied, looks okay around the filler, but the arch is going to have to come out anyway I think? just to be sure there is something solid behind it. So I managed to get a little time with the van today, Got the front part of the closing panel out, need a repair to the b pillar jacking point and inner sill, floor and side panel, that should do it for this part of the van, a few piccies below please comment :ok http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...

I would love a viking roof, so much space up there. ideally i will swap my high top for a viking roof during my resto. this is highly unlikely. I do love a viking roof though, specially as we have 4 kids.....
