Re: Co Post jacking point fun

I've decided to use the proper vw lower repair panel
Just don't want to weld it on too high and risk melting the westy stickers.

Re: Rear jacking point repair.

I know, that's the good thing about doing one side, it makes you realise the other is probs just as bad or worse. I'm trying to decide whether to fo what you've done or whole quarter.

Re: Rear jacking point repair.

Good job, doing the same just now. It's satisfying to get the JP and inner areas strong.

Only problem now is it looks like a purchased an oversize panel from just klampers to go over the lower qtr.... Not sure how best to use it as ideally I'd like to keep my edge and inner arch that a...

Re: person to do welding needed

This area. I'm doing it, spent about 6 hours so far and half way through. No point in just welding up the visible area of rust as the internal panels will be bad and possibly unsafe. Takes more time or money. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200530/c52a0b9bf3875205367bafc77fac748a.jpg Sent from my...

Lower ball joint clip

I'm putting a new early O/S hub carrier /upright on and was going to add a new ball joint. But the one in my spare is good so am thinking to keep it. Can you replace the bottom circlip on the rubber with the (early) lower arm attached?

Re: Interior suppliers

Mazda bongo Unit’s come up often on Ebay and also there are various semi built or flat packed ones there too....or put an advert up for one wanted or buy a Westy interior which will be around 6-900 s/h
