well dont mean to swear Mickey but "FECK ME" i had a look underneatgh, help me oot here looks like sil bolted through floor then sits ontop of swing arm and on front of a bracket ???? i presume these are welded ? now the million dollar question is it possible to cut out the sil and replace...

thanks guys, i think the door side shown in worst, but drivers side sil prob need doing.
Prices anyone ???
rough guesstemate for both ??? welded etc

hi all
Betty sliding door came off, and I think needs new roller at bottom.
I also need some new sils, but no idea of cost etc.
any help gratefully received.
Wirral based if you know anyone near who can sort?

welding / sliding door fell off sills updated nov 2013 help

Hi All sliding door slid fully back, rotting top sill, door fell down and out, damaged door corner as well. Right I looked at sills etc and rotten at both ends. 1 is it easy to patch these using mig welder ? 2 any rough ideas of cost of someone to do the job ? 3 are new inner and outer sills needed ...

OK i get all lights on when turn the key, can hear a click ( think from glovebox relay ??? ) but nothing happens.I been told by RAC that starter was knackered and to hit solenoid on starter, she fires up. I took starter to auto electrician, overhauled, no issues for wee while 4 months. Now same scen...

The guys have informed me that the exhausts can be fitted with single ( as shown on pics in my garage) or double ends.
Price is £380 fitted.

This is the first as stated. the guys are making more and will be available soon. I only posted here for a honest response, and if any members were interested. They will be flogging these at a higher cost once established, prob through ebay and VW sales. VW Heritage are interested at moment. cheers ...

Sorry gear shift is exactly the same, but the dwell or pickup is a lot better. ( technical help appreciated ) As soon as the clutch is released, the power is there now smoother transition maybe. ? cheers The exhausts are made to order,mine is the proto type, been working on it over a year to get bes...

I not a clue ??? to be honest. between work,kids and filling the van holes I not sure :lol: looking from back of van, 2cylinders either side and carb on each side, linked. also engine is gold colour. I always guessed new engine ?? Looks good, but your description in your garage says V4 twin carb Air...
