Re: Mercedes front hub nuts.

Re: JX water pump replacement

Fairly Straight forward take off the alternator take off three hoses, water everywhere but it wont complementary drain the system. Think there is four 13mm bolts on the top and a 10mm through the cam cover. Bit of a faff to get the pump out if you have PAS but it does come out with the pulley with a...

Re: Leaking water pump JX

Water pump is fairly easy. off with the alternator off with the three hoses at the back 3 or 4 13mm bolts on top and one that goes through cam cover, bit fiddly to get pump out especially with power steering. Mine was leaking through the pulley first time but about a year later i had a leak from the...

Re: Coolant leak. 1985 1.6Turbo diesel

I had this problem turned out to be a warped thermostat housing. Leave it over night then with a torch look down the back of the water pump (the other end to the pulley) There is a little ridge in the crankcase casting this may have some water in it if so its coming from plastic thermo cover. You do...

Re: binding back brakes

The only thing left is the flexy hoses have perished on the inside and are not letting the fluid return correctly but this would happen when cold as well .
