Re: Oil Leak from cracked filler neck. Advice needed.

Thanks for your help on this guys. My garage repaired my existing oil filler neck today, by brazing it. I'm still not sure what the difference between brazing and welding is. I havn't had a chance to pick up the van yet, but they said that its come out fine and shouldn't be giving me any more troubl...

Re: Oil Leak. Urgent help desperatly needed!

Thanks for your replies guys. We have contacted Vege, but I will Elite as well. I'll try and have a look on German ebay too, but I worry about language barrier issues and the length of time it would take for the item to be delivered. Is there no way to view the German Ebay site in English? If there ...

Oil Leak from cracked filler neck. Advice needed.

Hello All My garage have diagnosed a serious oil leak from the oil filler neck on my 1.6TD Westy. They say that the plastic top part where you pour in the oil is fine, but the metal part that sits between the engine and the plastic top part is badly cracked and looks to have been very poorly welded ...

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!

You will probably only need one 2.5l tin for the whole van if you are painting cream on cream. I don't think I would bother buying 5ltrs in your case. But you may end up needing to buy an extra one litre if you start to run low for your third coat.

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!

Just finished rollering today. It was really hot. Needed to use a paint mix with a bit more thinners to give me time to work. Bugs were a little bit of an issue and may need to wait until next spring to put the final coat on. Ive got three coats on both sides and 2 coats on the front and back . Prob...

After Googleing I realise now that an Autocruise is not some sort of T25 coachbuilt, but an actual RV. So that's a whole diferent ballgame then.

Re: Are my seats "standard"???

I think I can tell from what you have suggested, that your seating arrangement is quite different from most T25 campervan conversions (Westys, Autohomes etc) Most of us will have a the sink/cooker/fridge unit directly behind our drivers seat so these seats would not have anyway of being in a fully r...

Re: temp gauge poll

Mine stays just on the cool side of middle all of the time and just touches the middle line when standing in traffic on a hot day after coming off the motorway. Not seen it go past the middle.

Re: how fast do you go? petrol boxer 1.9 vroom vroom ..

I usually go around 65 MPH in my 1.6TD, but up to 75 for short burst of overtaking. Seems to hold speed on hills better at 65 than 55. Maybe this is just gearing.

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge Sender location

Managed to squeeze in an adapter on the oil filter housing then fitted the original pressure switch and new sender(scrapped knuckles and a few expletives)..no leaks so far , but not road tested it yet. Routed the wiring from engine to dashboard. Next job..wire gauge up and find a suitable location ...
