T4 westy v T4 panel conversion
OK guys I'm thinking of adding a T4 to go with my T3. I'm looking at two at the moment one is a Westy Multivan the other a panel van conversion. What are the benefits of the westy, if any. Both are of similar condition the multivan is a Lhd. But am I getting a better van with the Westy. Thanks

Choke pull down unit
How easy is it to replace the choke pull down unit. I have a replacement from Brickwerks ready to fit, but just wondering on wether I am up to fitting it. I'm quite capable of servicing my own van and do little bits n bobs on it but just wonder if there are any instructions anywhere for fitting this...

Re: exhaust studs/bolts/ heli coil/ tap.
Cheers guys, I won't be doing it myself but its finding a garage I can trust to do it is my main concern and if it's possible to do with the engine still in situ.
I don't know why, when I post on here that it always seems to double post. I will look and delete other one. Thanks

exhaust studs/bolts/ heli coil/ tap.
Hi all, just wondering if the threaded holes that hold the exhaust on can be heli coiled or re tapped with the engine still in the van. Its a 1.9dg watercooled 1987. Just seems a lot of work to take engine out.I replaced the exhaust about 2yr back and hasn't been right since I did it. Seems to be bl...

So today I replaced the starter motor. However still no joy, I can hear a click from the solenoid, but starter not kicking in. I run a jump lead from the live on the battery to the back of the starter and tried again, Bingo it starts. So what do I look at now. Any ideas peeps.

dead as a dodo. starter or what.
Hi guys, I'm having problems with van not starting. When I turn the key nothing, all the lights on dash come on, the battery is only 8 month old so I don't think it is that. Terminal on battery are clean. I can bump start it but it won't jump start with leads. Started to think possible starter motor...

Re: temp gauge sender
Old age, beer belly and -40 springs not ideal for working under the van. 15inch wheels make a bit of a difference but standard springs or uplift springs may be my next job.

Re: temp gauge sender
Cheers guys. It was the the one that was facing towards the front. I had a nice shower with G13 coolant. Went up my sleeve and down my bank
But all done now. I'm getting to old for this crawling around under vehicles. Uplift springs needed I think so I can get my beer belly under the van. Lol
