Thanks simon. Is it possible to modify a 1.7 sump then, giving it drain holes in the same position as on a JX?

Just wondering if it is possible to use a sump from a 1.7D on an AAZ type engine from a donor vehicle, Golf for example? Anybody got any ideas?
