Re: WELDER, Which one??
I did my first welding pratice the other week using a Clarke 135TE turbo, it was a mates who had been on a well respected welding course at the local collage and the tutors recommended that model, matey bought it cheaper from lawsonhis website instead of machine mart.

Re: Sliding Windows - securing?
Kirries idea is a good one Getting into an old camper is easy. just be mindful of that, before you spend large amounts of coin on the wood replacement. :D I was thinking about break-ins the other day, it would seem that all anyone has to do is cut around a seal to gain entry just like with VW cars ...

Re: Which Hi-Top is best?
Pop-tops and Hi-tops both have their pros and cons, I sometimes think that I should've got a pop-top but I would say if you've got kids then a hi-top would be a wise choice, the amount of stuff you can keep in the upper berth like duvets/pillows/coats etc cannot be underestimated and as already ment...

Re: Window replacement
A friend (he is a pro though) and I replaced a fixed side window but in my old bay window camper with one from Just Kampers but the principle but its the same in practice as a T25. Just Kampers were selling sliding windows with the seal but I don't know if they still do. You will need to know what t...

Re: HOLDSWORTH VISION
I would say that if its half decent and you keep on top of the rusty seam problems that you will get if you haven't already then you're onto a winner and sure to rise in value in time. I quite like the Holdsworth conversion even though I'm not mad on any conversion that uses the front seats as part ...

Re: HOLDSWORTH VISION
Hmmm I'm wondering what other 22 year old vans are selling for £4000 odd , Bedford? . .? Talbot? Before I got into VWs I was looking at Talbot Express AutoSleepers and they were easily £6k for a facelifted one in average-nice condition, the thing that really put me off though was the bed layout whi...

Re: St Ives recomendations
A touring park normally has lots of facilities like swimming pools, club house, play area, cafe, etc etc. They tend to be like Butlins; expensive, noisy, cramped spaces and not very relaxing. If you go to an ordinary camping site that just has toilets and showers but a good reputation, you can find...

Re: T25 rear speaker positioning
My Autosleeper had them little surface-mounted box speakers on the rear overhead locker due to the width of the locker door, they do produce a reasonable sound but only reasonable, think they're 35w. I can post pics if needed. Blaupunkt did some nice box speakers but they may have recently discontin...

Show me your tints
Hi,
Am thinking about getting the rear/side windows tinted for extra privacy and was wondering if anyone who had theirs done could post pics as I'm undeceided whether to go for mirrored or black.
Cheers

Help needed with Harrison Awning
Wotcha, 11 months after buying the camper I thought i'd take a closer look at the awning we got with the van, after fumbling about trying to acheive a satisfactory erection in the garden (   ) I gave up, we didn't get any instructions with it and I've tried to search out some advic...

Re: St Ives recomendations
Trevalgan Touring Park was nice when we went last September, usually I stay away from touring parks but this was just a really nice campsite, clean and modern bogs/showers and a bus that'll come to the campsite and er take you somewhere else...if you want. I think if you crank your head the right wa...
