Re: Replace roof canvas ... or not?
Thanks for the tips, both.
Yes, it's a Westy, but it's not the original canvas; it's about ten years old.
Are there any brands of waterproofer that anyone would recommend?
Thanks again.

Replace roof canvas ... or not?
I've a 1987 T3 pop-top. It had a new roof canvas put in when we bought it ten years ago, but these days it's not waterproof. My question is: does it need replacing, or is there some product that can give it its weatherproofing back? It's in good condition otherwise: no tears, wears, etc. But we live...

Who can put a new floor in my van?!
Hello all. I'm new here. The original plywood floor in my (1987) T25 is rotting away and needs to be replaced. I can't do this myself. I'm based in NW England (Cumbria). Can anyone recommend a garage or workshop that could do this work? All recommendations gratefully received! Thanks.

Re: Replacing a rotten floor
Hijack away! Discussion is good. This sounds like a major job. I might have to chicken out and pay a professional to do it. If anyone has any recommendations on that, please let me know. I'm in northwest England. Thanks everyone.

Re: Replacing a rotten floor
Thanks Fazzer. I've never removed the cupboards before - sounds like a major job. Are there any resources or guides I can visit to show me how to do that?

Replacing a rotten floor
The plywood floor of my T25 is thoroughly rotten now - it is probably the original from 1987. Has anyone on here ever replaced their floor, and if so, can you tell me how much of a major job it is? It looks like everything, including seating, would need to be removed, in which case I don't have the ...

In need of repairs - contacts wanted!
Hello - I'm new here, so please forgive me if this stuff is available elsewhere on this site and I've missed it. I have a 1987 T25 Westfalia conversion; it's a white pop-top, which I bought last year, in very good condition generally. However, a year of use and an exposure to the British winter has ...

Thanks Steve. VW garage tells me the alternator is too small to power the leisure battery properly, which is why it won;t charge up. Personally I'm suspicious about this: I've had the van four months and have taken it on a couple of long trips, and leisure battery has never been a prob: always charg...

Garage/mechanic/parts needed - somewhere near Oxford!
Hello, I'm new here. I have a 1987 turbo diesel Club Joker Westy with a few problems. Specifically, leisure battery is on the blink - I'm told it needs a new alternator - and I need to get hold of parts to repair the speedo, rev counter and heater switch. I'm no mechanic and can't do this myself. To...
